Quality Control

Quality is a state of mind for DAVID - it simply goes without saying. Quality, however, doesn’t come easy and we work hard 100% of the time to produce the highest quality workmanship possible. DAVID has developed a 3 Phase Quality Control Program that has proven itself under some of the most difficult projects imaginable. The following is a summary of how our 3 Phase Quality Control Program works:

Phase 1 - Preparatory Meetings: Preparatory Meetings are performed prior to starting each Major Feature of Work. Prior to the Preparatory Meeting, a written outline is prepared detailing the important aspects of each Major Feature of Work. After each Preparatory Meeting, but prior to the start of each Major Feature of Work, the actual workers are instructed of the minimum acceptable level of workmanship required. The workers are also instructed of any special safety issues that need to be considered.

Phase 2 - Initial Inspections: Initial Inspections consist of a review of the 1st day's work for each Major Feature of Work to ensure workmanship, contract compliance, and safety requirements are being met. Initial Inspections also correct any potential misunderstandings that may arise following the Preparatory Meeting.

Phase 3 - Follow-Up Inspections: Follow-Up Inspections are conducted on a regular basis as each Major Feature of Work progresses to ensure the controls established in Phases 1 and 2 continue to provide work that conforms to the contract documents. Deficiencies are documented in the Deficiency Tracking Log along with the corrective action to be taken. Workers are not to be permitted to build upon or conceal defective work under any circumstances.
