Project Description:
Hazelwood Middle School was a major renovation and addition project spanning a period of nearly two years. The project was phased to keep the existing school completely operational at full capacity. The final phase of the project was the replacement of the swimming pool. The pool contractor was a prime contract with New Albany-Floyd County School Board. DAVID was responsible for the coordination and control of the pool contractor. DAVID demolished the existing pool and constructed the structural concrete superstructure, allowing the pool contractor to set the pool. The pool was a metal panel pool with liner. DAVID was also responsible for ensuring the proper layout and setting of all inserts, pool gutter, and accessories for the pool. We also constructed the cast-in-place concrete surge tank structure.
